Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to common questions about our products, testing standards, and research-only usage.

  • Peptides are short chains of amino acids (usually 2–50 linked together) that act as building blocks for proteins. They're smaller than proteins, making them easier to absorb and use for specific functions, like signaling or repair.

    • Bind Receptors: Circulate and attach to cell-surface receptors (key-lock fit).

    • Activate Signals: Trigger pathways with second messengers/enzymes, altering cell activity.

    • Trigger Effects: E.g., insulin regulates blood sugar; growth peptides aid repair.

    • Degrade Quickly: Enzymes break them down for precise control.
